Salena Bansemer was selected to represent the 2024 Vermontville Syrup Festival as queen following the application process and interview with a three-judge panel on Feb. 13 at the First Congregational Church.
We asked Salena to share a little about herself and what inspired her to represent the Vermontville Syrup Festival.

Earliest memory of Syrup Festival: My earliest memory is going with my grandma and her always calling my name because I would run off.
Desire for representing Syrup Festival: I really wanted to do this because I want to help out the community.
Biggest Inspiration: My older sister Kay, because no matter what hits her, she keeps going.
Favorite food involving Maple Syrup: Pancakes with syrup from the Simpsons
Favorite Charitable Cause or Volunteer effort: Volunteering at the VFW and helping watch children during church services.
